After reviewing all the possible topics the groups suggested, I took in consideration few important topics that I think would make great projects to start. The most important mentioned topic to me was from team JSA. Having access to professional programs is a huge step towards better education. As a mechanical engineer access to some drafting and 3D software can be really difficult. Once these programs are available, I believe student will be more encouraged on practicing and doing homework on those programs that would improve grades and also look good on resume by showing the ability on how well you can use the software. Second most important topic was from team America, abandoned house project. As a student around the Detroit area I see homeless individuals more often, along with that I also notice many vacated houses that can be turned into projects that would help homeless people especially in the winter, instead of those vacated house or half burnt house take up unuseful spaces they can be turned into house with average living conditions. Last topic was from team JSA talking about infrastructure. Safer roads and bridges are a must. I commute a lot to work, school and other places and I notice that sometimes accident can be avoided if roads were safer.
