Dear Professor Grogan,

I believe that I should be accepted into your course because of the following reasons.

This course's relevance to my career goals and my academic careers in several ways including, the first being my goals are to be able to write a proper resume to get a job in teaching grades K-12. After reading the syllabus I can see that this course will help me to achieve that goal. Also this course will teach me the proper ways to write professional and business e-mails, Instructions, reports, and I definitely need help with my grammar. I believe that this course is the best way for me to learn how to complete all of these tasks.

Some of my strengths as a writer would be, first the amount of details I can put into a paper. I can also type really fast which is good for getting things done, however that leads me to my weaknesses in writing which would be my grammar and i sometimes forget minor punctuation mistakes.

Things that I believe I can offer to this class are a strong work ethic and a positive influence in and outside of the classroom. I also have a good attitude about school and life in general I feel like these are good traits to bring to a class and to life.

In conclusion this course will be a great opportunity to advance my writing skills and advance my skills in the use of computers.
